Project Awarded for Supply and Installation of an Offshore Storm Water HDPE Pipeline on the Jumeirah

Union Dredgers Marine Contracting has been awarded a project for the supply and installation of an offshore stormwater HDPE pipeline on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE. The project follows the recent award of two marine maintenance contracts, a survey works contract and a minor dredging project. UDMC’s Reputation for delivering projects on time, within budget and to the highest standards played a major role in the award of this project. The Scope of the project works includes Supply and Installation of 315mm and 500mm HDPE pipe, including all HDPE accessories and Ballast blocks – Butt fusion welding and pressure testing of the whole HDPE pipeline system – Dredging and backfilling of the offshore trench – Diver support. Speaking to Philip Temple, UDMC’s Business Development Manager regarding the Palm Jumeirah project he said “We like taking on prestigious projects, they are both challenging and rewarding. Yet the downside is, you move in, move out and nobody knew you were there. We only leave footprints in the sand”.
