Union Dredgers & Marine Contracting (UDMC) site team has commenced mobilization of our latest project that entails the comprehensive supply and installation of a OD500mm HDPE outfall pipeline spanning 1.3km in the vibrant Khorfakkan area. The Project Scope Of Work Can Be Summarized As Follows:
- Supply of Materials: Supply of high-quality PE pipes, fittings, outfall diffuser system, concrete anchor blocks, and essential fasteners to support robust pipeline construction.
- Micro Tunneling for Road Crossings: Utilization of advanced micro tunneling techniques for road crossings to minimize surface disruption and ensure efficient pipeline installation.
- Sheet Piling and Dewatering: Installation of temporary sheet piles to facilitate dry working conditions during pipeline installation in waterlogged areas, coupled with effective dewatering strategies.
- Butt Fusion Welding: Precise butt fusion welding of PE pipes and fittings to create strong, leak-free joints essential for long-term pipeline integrity.
- Offshore Excavation and Pipe Laying: Expert excavation offshore to create a subsea trench for accurate placement of the HDPE pipeline, adhering meticulously to alignment and depth specifications.
- Surveys and As-Built Drawings: Thorough pre-installation and post-installation surveys to ensure precise alignment and condition recording for comprehensive as-built drawings, crucial for future maintenance and upgrades.
- Offshore Backfilling and Leveling: Methodical backfilling of excavated trenches with suitable materials and precise leveling to restore surface stability and integrity post-installation.
- Breakwater Management: Careful removal and subsequent reinstatement of existing breakwater sections as required, ensuring minimal disruption while accommodating pipeline installation needs.
- Testing and Commissioning: Rigorous testing protocols, including pressure tests and operational checks, to verify the functionality, safety, and reliability of the installed pipeline system.
