Union Dredgers and Marine Contracting has been awarded the offshore project works for the new desalination facility at Al Hamra in Ras Al Khaimah with the scope of works to include HDPE welding, concrete block fabrication, sheet piling, launching, dredging and installation. UDMC utilize its marine fleet to complete the offshore works which includes barges, dredgers, tug boats and a backhoe dredger. with a 2000mm HDPE pipeline being utilized for intake and outfall pipelines, UDMC will be utilized a Hiweld HDPE Welding Machine  2500mm welding diameter (HW-2500) which is one of the largest Butt Fusion Machines in the Gulf region.
